Web Product Enhancement -Windstar Cruises

Product Enhancement for Windstar Cruises
About the project:
Windstar Cruises is a small boutique line that has fewer than 350 passengers per voyage. Visiting small quaint ports where larger ships are unable to visit makes this company unique in many ways. The project was created to allow web visitors an improved search to show the number of unique voyages Windstar Cruises has to offer.
Objective:
An interactive map that can:
- Search ports and names of sailings
- Search by region
- Search by Year, Month, and or Ship

Timeline:
Approx. 2-3 weeks

Platform:
Web platform for Computer and Tablet users

Target Audience:
References:
Inspiration was created by Google Flights. The simplicity of searching for flights by destination or explore destinations by best deals. You can also explore things to do and places to stay in the destination.

Competition was also reviewed to see what other lines have showing on their sites

The idea came as a problem I was having in my current position as an Inventory Specialist was due to the difficulty of auditing of the website to see which shore excursions were missing online. As the company doubled the initial number of ports, along with creating multiple unique itineraries within a year, it made the auditing process tedious. This design would create a better experience for the guests to quickly search their next voyage with Windstar.
Next Steps:
Although this project primary focus was for computer and tablet users. A mobile design will be looked into to accommodate all users.
