Ancient deities, spells and incantations have been immortalized in rune languages since the pagan rituals of the Norse, the burning, oracle bone ceremonies of the Chinese and far beyond.
Many of the gestures found in these inscriptions resemble those of modern alphabets. Realizing this, I worked to develop a comprehensive typeface that would juxtapose the most interesting elements of both while maintaining origin, legibility and functionality. The family would be called Promethea.
