It was a while that I wanted to make a small roadtrip in the Jura. Its forests and waterfalls are mythical and I take with me the dog of my parents, dogsitter for a weekend, too short for me.
I started my weekend by visiting the Flumen Gorge, near St-Claude. After a few kilometers of a quiet walk, we discover two breathtaking waterfalls. We were alone and could enjoy the place in silence.
Our route continues in the Haut-Jura, with a walk in a pine forest. The trail we follow through the trees is covered with orange leaves, giving an incredible atmosphere.
We spend the night in the forest, near the point of view of the Four Lakes. The dog did not stop raising his head and ears all night, probably hearing many animals passing near the car.
The second day of our roadtrip, we leave to discover the Hedgehog Waterfalls. A series of seven waterfalls over 50 meters high for some. We end the day by the waterfall Tufs, bucolic landscape, before returning home.
