The murgas are groups of people disguised in the same way, who interpret songs in chorus, with voices that are accompanied by percussion instruments.

Every summer a carnival is held in the port of San Antonio, Chile, where each commune presents its "Murga" or "Comparsa", walking several miles to perform their songs  in the downtown main street.

San Antonio is a poor city, despite being a port, so one of the interesting things about this carnival is that costumes are made from the things that people have in their homes, just with imagination.
