Curious Chic by Holly Mai Burton
Curious Chic is a voluptuous tea and coffee tableware collection that aims to be a statement of British Heritage and timeless classic style. This collection has been designed to offer a quality design that is both functional and chic utilising the strict black, white and gold colour palette. The Collection features both Bone China for its links to the British Ceramic Industrial history and its translucent qualities and Porcelain for its strength, durability and vitrified qualities that have allowed me to leave the black stained clay exterior polished like a pebble creating a contrasting surface quality against the statement gold handles and glossy glazed interiors of the ware. The loose-leaf infuser gives the drinker the opportunity to increase or decrease how strong the tea will be as teabags are no longer necessary. The infuser slots into both the Black porcelain teapot and the Curious Chic teacups giving the user the flexibility of tea for one or tea for four.
In addition, the Coffee Jug is specially designed to combat the fast pace of coffee found in cafes today by being designed with a smaller than average Coffee filter Cone to bring back the joy of brewing coffee by slowing the process down. This method of drink preparation benefits the user in turn by giving them control over strength, depth of flavour and turning it into a ritualistic experience to enjoy when using high quality ground beans.
