DAWN/DUSK, (Beyond the Tree Line) is a site-specific installation where the light plays the primary role within the artwork. The LED lights are connected to an automated sensory system regulating the brightness, which is contingent upon the movement and location of the viewer.
The transparency of the exhibition space and the influence of the lighting in which the monochromatic textures and carvings; are perceived differently depending on the time, and more importantly, the visitors in its presence.
In and out of the haze and light, the grooves and knots are multiple ramifications indicating different paths or trails to follow. Since the installation is visitor dependent, this visual light play may intend to be monumental and explicit or peaceful and intimate.
