BookWorm Brand Identity

BookWorm

BookWorm™ is a growing online bookstore. They were open to any idea, the only requirement was the text "BookWorm" I connected two o's, and with small modifications turned them into a worm shaped object. The colours are playful, while keeping a good contrast between the two words.
Creating a Brand Identity for BookWorm was quite a challenge, but it was a fantastic project which I really enjoyed doing. They are a growing online bookstore and they needed a bold brand identity. I designed it to help them stand out from the rest of the competitors. The project as always started out from sketching ideas and transferring the best onto the computer, you can see some initial ideas below.

My idea was to base the whole identity on just basic shapes (triangle, circle, square) This gives a very bold and modern look and fits in great with the overall design of the brand.

After selecting the project direction, I started creating the logo from the sketches above. I combined two o's in the word "Book" to create a worm shaped object.

The logo can be used in 3 different variations; Full, condensed, and icon only. Examples are shown below.
Below is a mockup of business cards, more stationary object mockups can be found above.

Here is a showcase of colors and typography used in the project
