Tradition vs. Mutilation

A project that was based around two things that are the same but different. I decided to work on the 2 sides to tattooing, piercing and scarification. On one side, I explained the traditional side and on the other, as mutilation. The images of the ink in water symbolises the clean and dirty sides of the topic. It also symbolises how these practices taint the clean and pure body. The final format was in a concertina folded booklet.
