The concept for my redesign was to incorporate the key points of the story onto the cover of the book. The dirt, treasure, and lizards all played a big role in the story, so I wanted to show that on the cover in a simplistic but yet effective way. I redesigned the book in the perspective of someone who has already read Holes, but is willing to read it again based on the look of the new design.
