Animation featuring the song Koko, by Charlie Parker. Text adapted from Jazz- A Film by Ken Burns. Animation made in Adobe Aftereffects CS6. The goal of the project was to give the viewer a better contextual and experiential understandign of Bebop jazz. I wanted to include historical context as well as illustrate the music to give the viewer a complete understanding of the music. Piece is adapted from a print piece which illustrates another Bebop Jazz song, Salt Peanuts by Dizzy Gillespie.
