A practice painting for myself. Thoring Oakenshield drom the Hobbit. I knew I had to paint this scene the moment I watched the movie in the theatre. Beautiful lighting this one had. So just had to do it.
Besides, it had been quite a while since I did a portrait and I just wanted to see how much I had improved in skill.
