This series of paintings on canvas and panel is a personal interpretation of news photographs. It incorporates collage, pieces of newspapers, ink, acrylic or enamel, reflecting the consumer’s society. Out of context, news images are not an illustration of a political speech where we are supposed to identify the victim from the oppressor, but rather images of men and women taken in the turmoil of history.
