C’era un uomo che aveva un asino e un cavallo. Un giorno che stavano viaggiando per la strada, l’asino si rivolse al cavallo: “Prendi un po’ del mio carico”. Ma l’altro non volle saperne. E l’asino stramazzò, sfinito dagli stenti. Allora il padrone passò sul dorso del cavallo tutto il carico; e il cavallo, piangendo, esclamava: “Ahimè! Per aver rifiutato un pochino di quel peso,
eccomi costretto a portarlo tutto”.
Nella vita grandi e piccoli devono far causa comune, se vogliono salvarsi gli uni e gli altri.

There was a man who owned a donkey and a horse. One day during a trip, the donkey turned to the horse and said: “Please take a bit of my load”. But the horse refused. The donkey collapsed exhausted by all this weight and the owner decided to put everything on the horse’s back. The horse while groaning said: “Alas, for having refused earlier to carry some of the load,
now I have to carry all of it!”
In real life big and small have to collaborate in order to save each other.
