There is something magnetic about the dunes rising out of the stark desert of southern New Mexico. While I was shooting, the sunrise and moonset occurred simultaneously which created the ethereal quality of light. The moonset over the sand dunes at 5 am feels other worldly. I am transported to another place, fooling the eye into believing I’m not on this earth. 

This project was selected as part of the Photoville: The Fence New Mexico exhibition that was publicly shown at the Railyard Park in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
