To communicate its brand promise and tell the stories that are uniquely Western, the University had to reimagine its website. The process began with a new information architecture and website content strategy that required input and support from across the University community.
Western Carolina needed a way to tell their story, and they needed it to be impactful and immersive. In order to achieve that, we created a variety of story components that gave them the flexibility to create an immersive story-telling experience.
The new redesigned screens were optimized for an easy mobile experience to address the significantly increased mobile traffic.
Western Carolina is a diverse organization, a characteristic they embrace. So we needed for all of the various departments to stand out while still feeling like part of Western Carolina. We created a universal header and a simplified style guide, which gave them enough flexibility to stand out, while also keeping them anchored to the university.
