Window Display for DecorAcción 2019

Each year, one of the most iconic areas in Madrid (Barrio de las Letras) becomes a showcase for the world of window dressing and interior design thanks to DecorAcción. This year, for the very special occasion of DecorAcción's 10th anniversary, only 50 projects were chosen. I had the opportunity to share my work taking it to the streets, to enhance the possibilities of the traditional shops, like the drugstore “Drogueria Castillo” in c/ Fúcar 16.

Cada año, el Barrio de las Letras, una de las zonas más emblemáticas de Madrid, se convierte en un escaparate de creatividad gracias a DecorAcción. Este año, para la celebración tan especial de su 10º aniversario, sólo fueron escogidos 50 proyectos. Agradezco haber tenido la posibilidad de enseñar y compartir mi trabajo, sobre todo con el objetivo de potenciar el comercio tradicional, como la "Drogueria Castillo" en la c / Fúcar 16, que aporta tanta vida al barrio.
The theme chosen for DecorAcción this year, "The Authenticity”, was a very good opportunity to highlight one of the Spanish iconic products, the "botijo". Is there anything more authentically Spanish than a "botijo"? The water pitcher, with its aesthetic and functional design, is one of the objects that should not fall into oblivion, especially these days, where saving energy is so important. For all these reasons, I decided to present it like a superhero, "SuperBotijo", not forgetting there is also a "SuperBotija", and with a series of "botijo"-characters surrounding them, reinforcing the personification.

La temática elegida este año para DecorAcción, "La Autenticidad", ha resultado una muy buena oportunidad para resaltar uno de los productos icónicos españoles, el botijo. ¿Qué hay más auténticamente español que un botijo? El botijo, con su diseño tan estético y funcional, es de los objetos que no deberían caer en el olvido, sobre todo en estos tiempos donde el ahorro de energía es tan importante. Por todo esto he decidido presentarlo como un superhéroe, "SuperBotijo", sin olvidarnos de que también existe "SuperBotija", y creando una serie de "personajes botijo" a su alrededor.
