Airbox Mixed-Reality Learning

Airbox is a mixed-reality science experiment kit with physical devices measuring air quality and communicating these results through an augmented reality app. This project was developed by Massey University and AUT with assistance from the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) and the Ministry for Business, Innovation, and Employment (MBIE) in New Zealand. The goals were to educate school students about air quality, increase scientific literacy in hard-to-reach populations, and to collect research-quality data on air quality in schools.
