Roads is a sweeping photographic portrait of Canada and the idea of Canada by Ottawa photographer Mark Schacter. It’s Canada as seen from highways, dirt roads, urban thoroughfares and small-town streets -- images from every corner of the land, and in each photograph, somewhere, a road.
Roads contains approximately 160 color and black & white photographs, as well as a series of short essays in which Mark Schacter describes his vision of Canada and the Canadian "sense of place", and how he has used a camera to share that vision with others.
