Router and marine plywood

Throughout the world today, there is an immense crisis on the pollution of plastic, especially the pollution of plastics in oceans. Ocean pollution, also known as marine pollution, is the spreading of harmful substances such as oil, plastic, industrial and agricultural waste and chemical particles into the ocean. This leads to tons of pollution being dumped into the ocean every year which, causes in many deaths. Over 1 million seabirds and 100,000 sea mammals are killed by pollution every year. In this artwork, I wanted to help stop marine pollution, so I created an alternative way of the mundane plastic packaging – bubble wrap. My design for bubble wrap is made from wood instead of plastic, in specific this wood that has been used is called Marine Plywood, which is also known for its physical appearance of different types of wood joined together. Thus, the material used is sustainable. Furthermore, this wood is also known for it being reclaimed or recycled. The bubble wrap is also taking into consideration that it could be reused and recycled
