River House New York | US

The modern River house on a 90-acre farm in upstate New York was designed by New York-based BWArchitects. They wanted the residence to be connected to the landscape and reflect the latest developments in green technology. The materials employed are sleek, but subtle: wood for the interior and glassfibre-reinforced concrete panels for the exterior - with various points of visible contrast. The house with the anthracite concrete façade is adjacent to the Hudson River, a spectacular view of which greets the visitor upon entering the house.
