UP Express Wayfinding

Wayfinding signage for UP Express 
.
Union Pearson Express, a new express rail service from 
Downtown Toronto to Toronto Pearson Airport. 
Initial high level signage plans for UP Union Station and Pearson Terminal 1 station for "order of magnitude" projections for wayfinding signage requirements. Signage planning began as soon as the architectural drawing were available.
Role: Client's in-house wayfinding and signage design specialist, involved with the project from initial concepts prior to issue for tender, through design phases, coordination of fabrication and installation and QA at completion of construction. worked with internal and external stakeholders including the branding agency, Winkreative and wayfinding signage design agency, Entro Communications to coordinate  implementation of branding on signage applications.
● Commissioned Canada Type type foundry to create signage version of the designated brand font, Gibson.
● Coordinated signage & wayfinding design issues with design consultant, Entro  Communications to implement wayfinding strategy, signage designs and installation plans for UP Express’ Union and Pearson Airport stations.
● From 95% design forward, project was brought in-house with, me as designer on station signage at Union Station and Toronto Pearson Terminal 1 Station projects from that point on.
● Designed, contracted and coordinated printing and installation for additional off-site wayfinding signs and maps to assist people navigating to the UP Union Station around on-going and ever changing construction activities. ​​​​​​​
