In April of 2012 I travelled to a small town in southern Haiti with a medical team from the Chicago
area. I documented their work for fundraising purposes and shot portraits of hundreds of children
for a child sponsorship program. I also witnessed three babies being born, four children with club
foot treated and several thousand local residents receive much needed basic medical care. It was
an incredibly rewarding experience.
