Below you will find a screenshot of the award winning author Suzanne Collins' website. I analyzed her current website using Jakob Neilsen's Heuristics.
As part of a small group of classmates, we created a user experience survey (survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1fbR_GLEVSnFOg9HLyQIS3VVs5C4MCd0IUAm9kaGjFEg/edit).
Based on the usability quiz results, we created personas like "Kaitlin, The Super Fan".
I then created a series of mockups in Illustrator for a new and improved site.
The information architecture was changed to consolidate the unnecessary sidebar of links, and breadcrumbs were added for an increased sense of navigation. A contact link was added to accommodate the "Super Fan's" desire to reach out. Some elements were incorporated from the pervious site, including the orange color in the banner and footer.
