Line, color, transparencies planning images in stylized forms, are key words to describe what I do. The color and silhouette are side by side, bright and vibrant colors in many different media, from large and small scales, and materials, rigid or malleable. The world is seen through contour and patches of color on a "tightrope" between two-dimensional and three-dimensional.
" Mingle " which means , mixing, tinting , coloring, is based on repeating in very specific ways , in a variety of compositions into a dynamic set of bright colors in various flexible materials.
Also based on the huge handmade sewing work done by the women of my family ( great-grandmother , grandparents , aunts and mother) at a junction of what is a plastic vision of a patchwork . It is an interpretation of family and Portuguese craft language with the modernity of Fine Arts .
