Receptor Future Pharmacy

Receptor - future pharmacy
T.H.Kohl Future Pharmacy by Desall tailors a brief that called for “a space dedicated to the customer experience”, “relationships between people” and “human-centred”. Relationships between people are a form of communication. Communication happens when there is an interception of signals. To intercept means to Receive & respond.

In biochemistry & pharmacology, a receptor is a protein molecule that receives chemical signals from outside a cell. Thus the conceptualization of a future pharmacy as a receptor. Pharmacy as a place that receives and responds to signals by the people. ‘Receptor’ emphasizes the relationships between people, primarily functioning as a hub whereby there is a central gathering space for consultation, and shiftable for a lecture/talk or presentation. The pharmacy is equipped with multiple consultation rooms and expansive retail spaces & high-tech equipment.
