This is one of the first assignments i received at the school where I am studying industrial design (AAAD in Prague). At the beginning of the semester we were supposed to choose a product of nature, and find its main shape characteristics. Then we made sculptures out of wood, plaster, metal and plastic. This assignment was supposed to teach us the fundamentals of design (research, finding a shape, materials, time management). 

The next assignment, after the sculptures were done, was to make a commercial product inspired by the natural object we chose.
