DDW needed a redesigned front end for one of their software systems. The original design (pictured below) consisted of black text on a bright yellow background (making the text very difficult to read); a left-aligned layout with no padding; and inconsistent fonts and font sizes. Additionally, the previous website had been created in Microsoft Word and needed the unnecessary code removed so that the page could be easily updated and maintained.

The company needed a layout that was compatible on all browsers as well as on mobile devices; that had clean code with all unnecessary Microsoft Word coding removed; that loaded quickly when accessed from countries around the world; that was user-friendly and easy to read, with a clean and simple layout; and some logo/branding elements without increasing page load time. We went with a clean and simple design with a professional color scheme and a small logo. Unfortunately, the software system being used was not compatible with external stylesheets or HTML5 elements, so we were limited in the coding that could be used -- but we were able to create a clean design that DDW associates were happy with.
