Limited parking, high PM levels, skyrocketing gasoline prices
and traffic jams...the reasons are clear why more and more
people start to prefer the bicycle as urban means of transportation.
It's eco-friendly, athletic and especially flexible.
The flexibility is actually a big plus of folding-bikes. The user can
easily take it on bus or the train when he is too tired to cycle or if
the way is too long. He has less problems to store it and at the
same time he has not to fear bike thievery...these reasons are
obvious too but still so few people use a folding bike.
Bicycles have this certain beauty which comes from their simplicity
and their efficiency. But a lot of folding-bikes lost this beauty
because of their complex mechanism and the aim of a tiny folding size.
The shortbike is a try to make a clear, simple and functional
folding bike which has the main focus not on a tiny folding size
but on good riding qualities and easy handling when it's folded.
