2-pass Letterpress Wedding Invitation with Hand-drawn names

Made by me with a hand-crank table-top craft letterpress machine: the Epic Six L Letterpress, using 1 pass of metallic gold ink and 1 blind impression pass.

I set out to discover if a very basic and over-simplified version of a beautiful piece of ancient machinery could produce quality results with the right skill/patience/effort. The results were beautiful and I'm still so proud of them a year later. This task is not for the faint of heart, it was seriouss work.

The rest of the suite was printed on the same paper (Crane Lettra 110 lb.) but printed with an inkjet printer at home, which produced unexpected - but lovely - distressed results in some places because of the cotton paper's tooth.

An assortment of fonts used here: Bodoni, Deming, Oil Can, Pompadour, Aldine, Vevey
