One of my main duties at the Agency Inside Harte-Hanks was creating information graphics for client pitches. It quickly became apparent that the mishmash of purchased icons and one-off drawings they had been using not only made our presentations look schizophrenic, but hampered our ability to add new icons quickly and efficiently.

I standardized the background shape and color palette for existing icons, adapted outside icons (AIGA Symbol Signs, social media icons) to the same scheme, and added custom icons as needs arose. I left the agency with a family of 150+ symbols in EPS, PNG, and JPEG formats, with each icon available in agency, parent company and/or custom color palettes (e.g., Facebook blue, Blogger orange) for maximum adaptability.
