Hematite Pendant (with in progress photos)

Hematite Pendant (with in progress photos)
I started with a round tumbled piece of Hematite glued to fabric stabilizer. Started with a single row of black seed beads around the hematite and built up. Skipping one bead to do the even peyote technique and step up to continue. I finished the black and red peyote with short black bugles. Red and black bail with long black bugles. I weigh the hematite after cutting the extra fabric stabilizer off and it weighs 0.9 ounces. This might be the heaviest pendant I have made so far. Next step is poster board backing and faux leather backing.

Poster board and leather backing glued. I did a red simple edging with no spacing. More red seed beads added to the bail for easy attachment. Bail was attached and red and black altering loops added to simple edge. Pick up 4 beads, down every other bead and up the next one and repeat. This method of simple edging and loops separately was easier.
