A visual interpretation of the Filipino idiom, "nagbubuhat ng sariling bangko". A piece created for the 21st Annual Exhibit of Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (The Illustrators Guild for Children) entitled “Mabubulaklak na Dila”, that revolved around the theme sawikain or idioms.
"Nagbubuhat ng sariling bangko" in Filipino context means "nagyayabang" or being arrogant and egotistic. Such is the idiomatic description of a person who exhibits an undesirable attitude of big-headedness or having an exaggerated belief in his/her own capabilities or accomplishments.
