This is a 2:20 min intro trailer for the Center for Digital Archaeology (CoDA), located on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. The project involved 4 shooting days to capture the essence of what the team at CoDA is trying to achieve through their Codifi app and program. I used the ocean and nature as a metaphor for the expansive landscape that digital data exists in - Data, like nature cannot be controlled and stored in permanence, but is only captured in bits and pieces when needed - and lives through its re-use.

The Interviews were conducted at the UC Berkeley campus, in natural lighting with no script - which lends a more "truthful" commentary to the CoDA team members passion for their work.
