Amidst the forests of Jharkhand, lies the traces of history in the form of rock sites. The history which dates back to the time of Paleolithic period; the history which gives us the glimpse of the times when our ancestors were learning the art of survival. The time when our ancestors were also learning the art of communication. The art which still remains intact there within the Caves and Rock shelters found on the land of Jharkhand in the form of rock paintings.
We would perhaps never know what those artists might have wanted to express ,but their expressions have been embedded into these rocks which are still surviving and allowing us to peek into the prehistoric times.These paintings in my opinion are a wonderful piece of art, not just because they are prehistoric but also because they represent the Artistic expression of some of the unknown genius artists.
In this project, I have documented and represented those rock sites and paintings, also how expression of art has now led to vandalism.
