St Andrews Links Signage

About
For more than 600 years St Andrews Links, much like the game of golf itself, has evolved. Today more than 230,000 rounds are played over our seven public courses. St Andrews Links also manages a number of additional facilities including a golf academy, three clubhouses and four shops.
St Andrews Links is a very diverse business and the team work hard to deliver an exceptional experience for everyone.

St Andrews Links are a charitable trust, and all profits are reinvested to help protect and maintain the world famous courses at the Home of Golf. Throughout their unique history, the focus of the Links has remained on nurturing the game and ensuring the golf courses are open to all.

___________

The St Andrews Links brand
Over time, like the living landscape on which the Links stands, St Andrews Links has evolved into a brand which is recognised around the world, transcending language and culture, generating passion and admiration across generations young and old alike. Today the St Andrews Links brand mirrors the unique place and status it holds in the game of golf, synonymous with a cherished set of values steeped in history, which remain as prevalent today as they were 600 years ago.

___________

The Brief:
The brief was to simply create a signage system which would be easy for members and visitors to navigate around the links and that the design could translate and reflect the proud brand of St Andrews Links. The type of sign frame had to be carefully thought about depending on location, and was selected appropriately. The basic design of the signs were constructed using the St Andrews Links branding guidelines, where more intricate iconography and arrow design was constructed myself in the style which would represent the brand.
