MACE Pepper Spray


Balance set out to redesign Mace's core product line, with specific consideration for manufacturing & cost, safety, familiarity, and context of use. We began by doing qualitative and quantitative research to dig to the core of what users need and their current perceptions, then applied what we learned to a new core product.
The resulting design was a simple, intuitive, pepper spray dispenser that is cost-effective to manufacture.
