Identity and logo design for Cesar Madera  - a contemporary conjurer whos' main attraction is card illusions. The identity had to represent a modern interpretation of the smoke-filled rooms of the 20's entertainment bars, where the entertainer and entertainment, was the main attraction.

"Contemporary Conjurer" was coined to clearly represent his modern approach to magic tricks. it was agreed that using the word "magician" could possibly leave the impression that he was just another "rabbit-in-the-hat" entertainer.

With an overall modern approach, the identity and extensions use gold and 20's style patterning to clearly define Cesar as a high-end bar entertainer, interacting with his audience, and not just merely a person who can just do magic tricks on stage.

Symbols from the card deck where modernized and simplified. These were combined to create a recognizable "card" symbol that could then be applied and combined across all mediums of the identity, including being integrated into two posters (see below).
