Illico (2013) is a service that reinvents urban window shopping. When opening hours are not enough anymore, illico takes over.
This m-commerce is intended for small shops whose business is stunted by e-commerce.
The shopkeeper puts QR-codes on the window of his shop. The user can scan the marker with their mobile phone and the application returns to the page of the chosen article. The postman will deliver the package at the customer’s home.
Once the order registered and paid with the virtual wallet, the merchant receives a notification on his illico platform.
The showroom allows the customers to receive the desired item at home, in a single step, delivered by La Poste postal services.
Alix spotted an article she likes in a shop in a shopping street close to home. The store is closed, so she scans the QR-code corresponding to the desired item. David, the owner of the shop, receives a notification and prepares the package for the postman. Alix will receive her delivery very soon.
Thanks to his personal account, the business owner can add all the items of his choice to his store front.
The website also allows the storekeeper to create, print or order the QR-codes required.David connects to the illico web platform. He adds his items on his window display in a few clicks. It also orders a sticker and QR-codes to install on his front shop.
This project received the first prize of the Award for Service Design contest, organized by La Poste Group and the International Biennial of Saint Etienne.
