Jim Thorpe: World's Greatest Athlete

Project for Illustration Markets class assignment. Historical figure of Jim Thorpe, who is considered one of the world's greatest athletes in the 20th century, reinterpreted into an animated gif. Jim played many positions in NFL including running back, defensive back, punter, and kicker. He was named to the NFL 1920s All-Decade Team. He also played pro baseball and won two gold medals at the 1912 Olympics. Today, the best defensive back in NCAA football receives the Jim Thorpe award. I framed the illustration with a border to look like a vintage baseball card. I then used sepia tones and textures to enhance the vintage feel.
