Museum of Yelahanka
Through this course, I along with my classmates were given the opportunity to design and curate a museum of postcards which represents Yelahanka, Bangalore. Each student took specific spaces around Yelahanka to portray the town, and made postcards of the space. My interest was in the dysfunctional bazaar spaces which are more than 70 years old. This space built curiosity, because many people didn't know what exactly this space was/is. In the little amount of research that I did due to time constraint, I found out that this was indeed a bazaar space about 70 years before and that there are some land disputes with the family who owns the land. During my research it was also clear that people were not ready to talk about the space. The locals now use the space as a cowshed. The space around the bazaar has 'developed', and it is interesting to see how the space has changed with regard to its landscape and functionality.

As part of the exercise, we documented the making of the museum. We used coir to make a network of strings and attached postcards to it.
Many people interacted with the museum space, and we got good feedback as the audience were very surprised to see a different take on Yelahanka, which were based on the spaces which they knew but didn't notice.
