TV GAZETA
Camera Assistant
As camera assistant I supported the producers and the camera operators during the shooting on outdoor locations (ENG). Among my tasks, I was responsible for all the equipments checks and organizations (such as camera, lens, lights, batteries, tripods and microphones). I was also responsible for setting up the lights and microphones, monitoring the audio during the shooting and operating the HD video transmitter when needed on live programs.

Audio
I used to operate and monitor the microphones during the shooting. At the TV Gazeta I worked with different types of microphones included lapel, shotgun, handheld mic and I also used the camera's built-in microphone for background sounds. I monitored the audio using a noise-canceling headphone checking the levels straight on the camera or in an external monitor.

The audio setting was set before and during the filming. For the news programs or interviews with a few people I used to set it up straight on the camera menu, however for entertainment programs I usually set the audio channels on a mixer.

Live Streaming
There were two different workflows for live broadcasting. The first one was related to the satellite truck's team, together we ensured that the transmission between the truck and the central studio was working well and we also made the adjustments to comply with the TV quality standards of image and sound.

The second way regards to a web live streaming device called Teradek. This device when connected to the camera is able to send the video and audio signal to the broadcast switcher via internet connection. In this case I was the only one who operated the device on the ENG, so I had to know how to set it up and keep in touch with the central to verify the characteristics of the signal they were receiving.
