My customer specializes in silk screen printing and embroidery in all fields of motorsports but especially catering to the field of quarter-mile drag racing. During the 1950's and 1960's, the sport of drag racing exploded in popularity and drag racing facilities sprang up all over the US. But in later years, it waned, and many race tracks fell prey to economic conditions and urbanization sprawl and went out of business. With a present day growing interest in the golden era of drag racing and a growing popularity of nostalgia drag racing events, my client offers a line of T-shirts commemorating some legendary raceways of the past or so-called “Lost Drag Strips”. Some of them are gone completely, paved over to make room for housing developments or strip malls; others are only ghostly remnants of what once was. T-shirt line includes: Fremont Drag Strip, Irwindale Raceway, Lions Associated Drag Strip, San Gabriel Dragway, Santa Ana Drags.
