Sea Star Necklace (with in progress photos)

Sea Star Necklace (with in progress photos)
I started with a red sea star and filled in between the arms with red and orange seed beads. I wanted to incorporate the orange hearts but beading around them didn't work out. I used the brick stitch technique to make the bail. I'm still working on the necklace piece using the peyote technique. It will be finished the same way as the Scallop necklace and Thor's Hammer, Mjolnir Necklace.

In Progress Video:
The necklace completed to 23". Poster board backing glued on. I had to mark the top on the back of the beadwork and both sides of the poster board. Next steps are to glue faux leather backing and simple edging.

The main part of the Sea Star project is completed. I worked more on the bail and weaved  another row of blue on each end and closed it up with additional 4 blue beads. This made it much easier to attach it to the sea star.

The Sea Star Necklace is now available in our USA Mercari shop.
This listing is for a handmade 2 piece necklace of a sea star in red, orange, cream and blue colors made with seed beads, bead embroidery and bead weaving techniques. The full necklace hangs approximately 16" and the sea star pendant is 4 1/2" wide. Comes in a gift box, ready to be gifted to that special someone.
