GUIDED COOKING WITH AUGMENTED REALITY

In this work I dared the attempt to take cooking, an activity that has accompanied people's everyday lives for several millennia, into a new dimension. For this purpose, I developed an iOS application with ARKit as part of a user-centered design process, which accompanies the user throughout the cooking process.

Using Augmented Reality, the user is guided step by step through the recipe, while the virtual instructions appear in front of the user’s eyes wherever and when they are needed in the real environment.

Gaze control allows the user to interact with the application during the cooking process, leaving both hands free. Additional tips and assistance with pictures and videos let even beginners prepare a dish without any problems.
