For our project we were given a random film, we had to create a movie poster to promote the film and Skys new "Now tv" app. Throughout the project we were paired with another student from our class, allowing us to combine and share ideas. The film we chose was "The Shawshank Redemption" a film I had not yet seen before but had wished to see for a while. I enjoyed the film and felt it gave us many opportunities for us to create some good posters. Me and my partner decided to do a poster each as we both had the two different ideas, but also take inspiration from each other.
This is my final piece. I have tried to go for a minimal poster, with simple illustration and a small use of type.
This is just a landscape version of my final piece, this was created for other advertisement use, for things such as billboards
As well as creating a poster we also had to see what they would look like as real advertisement, this is the poster on a bus adshell.
This is the final poster converted into a bus advertisement.
Before adding the advertisement to the bus I had to create this flat advert, created from the original poster.
