brief:  Design a housing solution based upon repeatable units. 

solution:  Julunggul is a unique university housing solution for rural tertiary students in Australia. 

The site’s snake-like flowing path is inspired by the indigenous rainbow snake goddess ‘Julunggul’ whilst the repetitive radial layout references symbols from local artwork.

Individual living spaces fan out from the shared dining, living and bathroom, providing each resident with their private piece of paradise. 

Corrugated iron roofing and recycled timber reflect the natural hues of the bush landscape, whilst pops of colour keep it youthful and vibrant.
