“Sea of black.”, “Black spots on green.”
These are probably be the common demeaning terms used on the group of foreign workers locally.
They are the Bangladeshi workers in Singapore.
Without ample understanding about this particular group of people, I was on high alert and shunning them at all costs. With initially absolutely no intention of getting closer to them or understanding them, I took up this challenge and decided to work on them, putting myself in their shoes, going around and interviewed them at any possible chance and areas they would be at.
This photo journal is my way of beginning to understand them.
