D&AD brief: Package L’artisan Parfumeur’s new range of scents uniquely based on four given emotions:
A. Passion and desire. Sex and lust. Raw and physical.
B. Pefect, sublime love. An interior emotion.
C. Excitement and fear. Adrenaline, exhilaration and thrill.
D. Elegant and dignified. Stormy yet still.
I used Greek Gods from Greek Mythology to represent the emotions of each perfume scent. People can connect to the emotions through the stories and how they make each individual feel after reading them.
Scent A: Passion and Desire. Sex and Lust. Raw and Physical
Eros is the Greek god of love, known for the bonding of Gods or mortals together to share a passionate desire to each other. He is known for his concupiscent behaviour, suitable for scent A, the scent of lust and sex.
Scent B: Pefect, sublime love. An interior emotion.
Apollo is the Greek god known for light and the sun, truth, healing, music and poetry. His close connection and care towards his mother symbolises the sublime love in scent B
Scent C: Excitement and fear. Adrenaline, exhilaration and thrill.
Zeus is the ‘Father of Gods and Men’ ruling the Olympians of Mount Olympus. Within his hands, he carries a lightening bolt that holds electricity and strength, giving him the status representation as the most powerful God in Greek Mythology.
D. Elegant and dignified. Stormy yet still.
Scent D: Artemis is the Greek Goddess of hunt, wilderness, and virginity and of the moon. Her elegance is shown through her virginity where her body is pure and graceful.
