Under the brief of develop a low cost personal table using iron and aluminum for national and international markets and using simple manufacturing processes, creates Alum.
Alum is a connection between simplicity and functionality. A personal table which dimension (56x39x68 cm) and lightness is ideal to use in all kind of everyday situations. With contemporary colors and simple lines, alum is a modern and functional piece of furniture that can be capable to adapt to all kind of environments. The craftsmanship production was made in a local metal workshop in Monterrey Mexico.
We made some cardboard models, and then some metal prototypes to find the perfect dimension and height.
As a mark for these tables I remove the corners. This will also improve safety avoiding pointy metal corners.
I also develop an economic package using natural cardboard and a sticker with information that will be perfect for display and to take it home easily.
Alum is a personal table currently in production. For Casa Diseño a Mexican company.
