For this project, I chose to combine my favorite poet’s work and one of my favorite artist’s style to create a book cover. “The Raven” by Edgar Allan Poe deals with dark, mature, and serious themes similarly to Aubrey Beardsley’s art style. I put the floral boarder around the right side of the book cover to mimic how Beardsley often did to his own works of art. I also chose to keep the raven as the main focal point on the book cover give the cover a more mysterious feel.
